About me

Hi, my name is Austin and I like to make games! I have been designing games of all types my entire life. I started this company in December 2024 to share that passion with as many people as possible. The laughter, friendship, and memories that board games and videos games have brought me are things that I think everyone should have the opportunity to experience. I have wanted to create games for as long as I can remember, and am always working on a creative project.

What’s the Good Word? started out as a game my roommate and I came up with to play with our friends. The more we played, the more I thought about bringing it to other people by creating an official version. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

I created and run Point Six Games by myself— from game design and artwork, to this website. Thank you for joining me as I grow as a game developer. If you have any questions, suggestions, or feedback don’t hesitate to reach out to me at austin@pointsixgames.com.

Point Six started out as an inside joke with my buddies that my K/D ratio in First Person Shooter video games was 0.6. If you aren’t familiar with these types of games, a K/D is essentially an efficiency score where anything above 1.0 is considered passable. The term somehow grew on me, and I started to implement it into my online usernames before finally naming my game company.
